A Growing Concern

With the downturn in the economy, more and more people below the poverty line are pushed to feed their families cheap, unhealthy foods.  City Slicker Farms in Oakland is helping by providing organic, locally grown fruits and vegetable at little or no cost to the community.  They are also setting up backyard gardens and providing youth and adult educational programs on nutrition and farming.
